God's alternatives.

Christians who are neither isolationists not conformists, but God's alternatives. What do alternatives look like? They are on the ship of culture, but they are not of the ship. They understand that the ship is eventually going to sink. But they also understand that their job is to offer the people an alternative to the options of religious legalism or carnal conformity, a way of escape from the judgment coming on the ship, as well as a new way of living while they're on the ship. God's alternatives show this sinking world system what God looks like in its midst. Alternatives understand that this present age is under God's judgment and will be destroyed someday. But an alternative does not stand by and watch while society self-destructs. As God's alternatives called the church, we are called to show the world what this ship would look like if it sailed under divine direction.

BISHOP JAKES LAST MINUTE CHANGE CAUSES HIM TO AVOID EXPLOSION AT HIS HOME
Bishop T.D. Jakes told the congregation at his church Sunday that alast-minute change of plans kept him from being killed in a naturalgas explosion at his Fort Worth home last week, according to anAssociated Press report.
At the Sunday service at The Potter's House in Oak Cliff, Jakes saidthat he would have been getting dressed near the site of the blast ifhe hadn't suddenly had a feeling that he should cancel a meeting.
Because of that, he was nowhere near the sunroom of his home when theexplosion occurred.
According to a report by WFAA-TV (Channel 8), Jakes was in anotherhome on the property at the time of the blast.
Lt. Ken Worley, spokesman for the Fort Worth Fire Department, toldreporters at the time that the explosion appeared to be accidental butthat no cause had been established.
The sunroom – originally a large patio that had been enclosed as partof a renovation – had a gas-fed pool heater and a large gas-fedbarbecue grill, Worley said.
Damage was centered in the sunroom, and there did not appear to be anystructural damage to the 15,000-square-foot home, he said.
There was no fire because the explosion consumed all the available gas, he said.

Your New identity in Christ.

Your new life in Christ should sustain you so that when you want to fall, no matter how hard you try you don't go anywhere because Christ sustains and supports you. Read (Romans 6:8-10). You say, "Well, how come I'm not experiencing that?" Because you must do something. Look at verse 11 and our key word: " Even so consider (reckon) yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus." Paul says, "You must reckon it to be so. Count it as true. Buy into your new identity in Christ." He is saying that if you know you've got a million dollar spiritual bank account, start writing checks on it. It's no good to have a million dollars and never reckon it to be so. You act on a million dollars by writing a check. Otherwise, you could live like you're broke. During the Civil War, it was legal for a man who wanted to stay out of the Union Army to pay someone to fulfill his draft obligations. Well, a man named Pratt paid a man named White to go to war in his place. White was killed. Pratt was re-drafted. But Pratt took the agreement between himself and White to the draft board and told them the second draft was invalid because he died "in White." The draft board had to agree Pratt was legally dead. When Satan comes to re-draft you into your old life when he tries to recall you to your old way of thinking, talking, and acting-you've got to show him the agreement. You've got to say," Jesus Christ has already died in my place. You can't draft me to that old life anymore. You can't take me back to that old way of thinking anymore. The payment has been made. You can't call me back into your service." Satan has no more claim over you, because when Jesus died, He died once. No more payments are necessary for you to have victor in your spiritual life. You've already died. Satan is like a deposed dictator who wants to keep running the show of your life. You must tell him that he has been kicked off the throne once and for all.

The importance of Submission

Verses 22-24 of Ephesians 5 explain the doctrine of submission. Now this is a bad word to many women, because it has been defined so badly or used inappropriately to oppress or subjugate women. Most women hear the word submission and think, Oh, no, not that. The dreaded "s" word. But submission is a biblical concept. Jesus submitted Himself to the will of the Father, so we know right off that submission has nothing to do with inferiority. Jesus is equal to God the Father (see Phil. 2:6); He is "very God of very God," as the theologians say. So submission doesn't have to do with the wife being less than the husband. Submission has to do with accomplishing a divine agenda. Jesus submitted to the Father in order to accomplish the divine plan in our salvation. Husbands and wives are equal heirs of God's grace (see 1 Pet. 3:7). A wife is of the same value as her husband. Submission doesn't mean she has to be a doormat or any such thing. Any woman is equal to any man in value before God and man. But when it comes to His kingdom agenda a wife's submission is absolutely necessary. It means that she recognizes his position as head of the home to accomplish God's agenda in the world. Thus marriage, like the trinity, is a hierarchical partnership. While all parties are equal in value, essence, and significance, there is a distinction in function (hierarchy) in order to fulfill God's kingdom in history. This issue of submission hits right at the heart of what it means to be a Christian. Therefore, a wife who does not submit to her husband is not submitted to God. She can do all the spiritual stuff, but if she is not reverencing her husband as her head, she is living in carnality. I realize this may not be a popular message today, but God did not call me to be popular. I want to encourage and affirm Christian couples as they seek to carry out God's agenda. But before we can get this thing right, we need to be honest about the problems we face. What I'm about is helping you and me face ourselves honestly in the light of God's Word.

Marriage

In Ephesians 5:22-33, Paul says that marriage is a picture of the relationship the church is to have to Christ. He is our Husband. When Paul talks about the submission of the wife and the headship of the husband, he says this is how Christ and the church relate to one another (vv. 22-24). When he instructs husbands to love their wives, the comparison all the way through is to Christ and His church. And just in case we might miss the point, Paul spells it out in verse 32: this mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. He's saying that there's something bigger here than the marriage of two people. Marriage is to be a picture of Christ and the church. Marriage was never merely an end in itself. It was created to be a picture of a bigger program. But as long as two people keep focusing on each other's differences and personalities and don't get along, they play right into Satan's hands. He wants to get us focused just on ourselves so that we miss this bigger picture. See if a husband has never learned to love and lead like Christ and a wife has never learned to respond like the church is supposed to respond, they are not only failing to live up to God's expectations for them; they are failing to reflect Christ and His church properly. The church is to respond to Christ the way a wife responds to a loving and self-giving husband. In this way the family functions as a mini-church in its community. Thus the world is never without a witness or without righteousness existing in its midst. God bless your marriage.

A good church member

You always know a good church member from a bad church member because a good member is a supplying joint of the body, while a bad member is a "ripping off" joint, out for personal benefit and not the health of the body. But the church is meant to be the place where the people of God are active and vibrant and alive and growing together into a mature whole.

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask Your forgiveness and to seek Your direction and guidance. We know the Your Word says, woe be to those who call evil as good," and that's exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium, and we've inverted our values. We confess that we have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word in the name of moral pluralism. We have worshiped other gods and called it multi-culturalism, and we've endorsed perversion and called it alternative lifestyle. We have exploited the poor and called it a lottery. We have neglected the needy and called it self-preservation. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. Father, in the name of choice, we've killed our unborn, and then in the name of right-to-life we've executed the abortionist. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building esteem. We have abused power and called it political savvy. We have coveted our neighbors' possessions and called it taxes. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, O God. Know our hearts today. Try us, and show us any wickedness in us. And then cleanse us from every sin, and set us free! Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent here by you God who have been ordained by You to govern this great USA. Grant them Your wisdom to rule, and may their decisions direct us to the center of Your will. I ask it in the name of Your Son, the Living Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

The content of Worship

In Psalm 34:1, the psalmist wrote, I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth." That's the kind of worship God wants from you and me. He wants us to put worship in our mouths as often and with as much delight as we put food in our mouths. In fact, our desire to worship should be like our drive to eat. If the need for food goes unmet, we feel pain. When we go for an extended time without eating, the body shrinks-which is not all bad for some of us! But when we go for an extended time without worshiping and we shrink spiritually, that's a disaster. The reason this is true is that we are made to worship. God created you and me for Himself. When we are not fulfilling that drive, or when we are using that drive to worship something or someone other than God, we shrink and become spiritually anemic. The writer of Hebrews said, "Let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God" (13:15). Worship is not a place or an event. It's an orientation to life. God is seeking those who will worship Him. Don't misunderstand that. God is not just seeking worship. He has plenty of worship. Angels worship Him. Nature worship Him. The animals worship Him. But He is seeking people to worship Him. Why? Because God wants to see how many of the creatures He made in His image will voluntarily worship Him continually, the way His heavenly creation and the unconscious earthly creation worship Him. You can't follow Jesus Christ without developing a lifestyle of worship.

Discipleship

Why I like to be around Christians who are excited about Christ. I want some of their fire to warm me. I want their excitement to become my excitement, their joy to be my joy. You say, that sounds like what I need, pastor tim. I don't have any joy in my Christian life. Then find some joyful Christians and begin to fellowship with them. Do you need peace in your heart? Have fellowship with another Christian who knows what peace is all about. Is your faith not very strong? Find a group of Christians who know what it is to trust God, and let their fire light your faith. This is what discipleship is all about. This is what fellowship does. It pays huge dividends.

The Fire of Love

What koinonia does to believers is what logs stacked in a fireplace do to each other. The fire spreads from one to another. The passion of one believer ignites another believer, and the fire begins to spread. People begin to fall in love with jesus and start talking about him. That's why I like to be around Christians who are excited about Christ. I want some of their fire to warm me. I want their excitement to become my excitement, their joy to be my joy.

Compensation of love

Another payoff for fellowship is that people fall so deeply in love with Jesus that they can't keep him to themselves. We preachers are always pounding the pulpit to urge God's people to witness. get out there and witness. Share your faith with someone this week. Tell someone at work about Jesus. It's your responsibility to witness for Christ. But just telling people to witness will never do the job. The secret to witnessing is not a sermon, but falling in love with the savior.

explains. "There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There
will be looting – including Times Square, New York City. What we are
experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are
under God’s wrath. In Psalm 11 it is written, "If the foundations are
destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

In this age of evil, be a champion for God and stand up for the
absolute truth of Scripture, not the misconceptions you've been led to

Wilkerson is the founding pastor of Times Square Church in New York
City, where he launched a ministry to gang members and drug addicts in

His work in New York in the 1950s and 1960s led to the formation of
Teen Challenge – a nationwide ministry to reach out to people with
life-controlling habits. Teen Challenge has grown to include 173
residential programs and numerous evangelism outreach centers in the
United States, and 241 centers in 77 other countries. The program
claims a recovery rate of 86 percent.

The story of Wilkerson's first five years of ministry in New York is
told in "The Cross and the Switchblade," a book he co-authored in
1963. The book became a best-selling phenomenon and more than 15
million copies have been distributed in over 30 languages.

"God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations," claims
Wilkerson. "He is destroying the secular foundations." Wilkerson urges
everyone to stockpile a 30-day supply of food and other necessities to
deal with the catastrophe he foresees.

"I do not know when these things will come to pass, but I know it is
not far off," Wilkerson concluded in his message. "I have unburdened
my soul to you. Do with the message as you choose."

A past vice president of the Southern Baptist Convention is hoping
believers pay attention to Wilkerson's message.

"I have known David Wilkerson for more than 25 years as well as many
of his friends and associates," said Pastor Wiley Drake. "He is a
godly man and I believe he is listening to God. I encourage each
Christian to read and heed what God is saying through our brother."

A Metaphor For America

Restoring The Father- Led Home


Some months ago, an ugly crack appeared in my bedroom wall. I called a painter who replaced the defective plaster and repainted the wall. It looked great. I was happy; he was happy. I paid him, and he left. But about a month later the crack reappeared, uglier than ever. Preachers don’t get mad, but I was somewhat “evangelically ticked off”. I called the painter back and asked him to fix the problem. He apologized and expressed surprise that the problem had recurred so quickly, he redid the work and everything was fine- for about forty-five days. But then the crack came back, only this time it brought its aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews at this point I concluded that I need a new painter. I called another professional to come and fix my problem for good. This man looked at my wall and shocked me by saying, “I’m sorry sir I cant help you with your problem because you don’t have a problem with cracks in your wall.” Well I looked at the cracks in my walls then I looked at the “crackpot”, telling me my problem wasn’t cracks in my wall. I said, “Excuse me, but I can see a crack, you can see a crack in fact all God’s children can see a crack.” “oh yes, he replied, you have a crack, but that’s not your problem, it just reflects a much deeper problem. Your problem is a shifting foundation. Until you stabilize your foundation you will forever be repairing cracks on your wall.

That’s a metaphor for America. The condition of American Society today, we can see cracks everywhere; social cracks, political cracks, moral cracks, even cocaine cracks. But until we stabilize the foundation, no number of programs, government grants, or elections will be able to repair the cracks in our cultural walls. There is no place where the foundation of America needs to be stabilized more than in the home.

The breakdown of the family is the single greatest contributor to the deterioration of our country. Strong families hold the key to a strong society, while conversely, weak families lead to a weak society. This is so because every other institution in society is predicated on and dependent upon strong families and you cant have strong families without God at their foundation. No wonder Satan didn’t bother Adam until her got married. Satan knew that in order to shut down God’s program of expanding his Kingdom on earth, he would have to destroy the institution at the foundation of that program; namely the family. We can’t talk about the role of Christians in affecting society without talking about the family. As Christians we need to help others, if our families are a mess, we don’t need to be exporting that into the culture.

As a husband and a father as well as a Pastor, I am convinced that the responsibility of building Godly homes lies at the feet of the man. This is not to discount a women’s importance and input. But God has placed men at the head of their families, and I don’t know of any greater task or any more risky business that to be a man holding the responsibility of leading a home. Look at what we are up against. What used to be considered rather unusual not too many years ago a family without a father is now a crisis of growing proportions. The reality in our culture today is that a staggering number of children are growing up in single-parent homes. The vast majority of which are fatherless. In 1970, for example only 13 percent of children grew up without both parents at home. But, today that member is at least 30 percent in the culture at large. For African-American children, the percentage more than doubles to 63 percent.

We’re talking about millions of children growing up in homes where in most cases they will know little or nothing of a father’s influence. I know that mothers are deserting their families today too, but the numbers are still heavily weighted toward missing fathers.

In fact, we’re told that half of all American children will go through at least some part of their lives without having a father at home. And the future doesn’t look any brighter. By the year 2010; it is predicted that 70 percent of black children will be products of single-parent (mostly fatherless) homes.

The implications of this are staggering in terms of the world we have to live in and minister to. This is not theoretical for me.

I want to address primarily fathers and husbands as we look at how Christians can strengthen America by stabilizing their own homes in the foundation of God’s word. It used to be alot simpler
than it is today. At one time our culture shared a basic understanding about what it meant to be a father and a husband. But the role of man has been radically redefined, leaving behind a whole generation of boys and men who aren’t clear about what it means to be a man, let alone how to go about leading a home.

A DIFFERENT WAY OF THINKING

A Different Way of Thinking

Because God is transcendent and distinct from His creation, His way of approaching and analyzing an issue is not going to be your way. That’s why you need to develop the mind of the King. You need a Kingdom mentality, a Kingdom way of thinking so that you can get God’s mind on the issues of your life. Whether we are talking about marriage, sex, money, children, or any other issue, God’s thinking on the subject will be different than the way this world thinks about it. We are looking at millions of refugees trying to escape war and violence and Iraqis war. The U.S. took in 13,000 refugees last year and has pledged to accept thousands more.

We need a new way of thinking , a Kingdom mind can make a difference and not be ashame. We can be empowered and learn how a Kingdom mind works. This is not a game , this is your life and your success.

1. Identify the true meaning of success.
2. Follow the right goals
3. Submit to divine authority
4. Break free from circumstances
5. Give life your all
6. Use attitude, perseverance, self-esteem, self-mastery, communication, prosperity and prayer to lead you into success.

Are you seeking practical advice, you need your ability and your decision to develop a Kingdom mind will also determine whether you tast victory or defeat in your daily spiritual life, Paul wrote in Romans 8

Rising to a Higher Level

As we receive revelation of the gospel of the kingdom, we will rise to a higher level in every area of our lives. The standards of this world and its system are much below the standards of heaven. In the economic system in the earth, for example, when we invest money we expect to receive interest back. One hundred percent interest or doubling our investment, would be a great return. However, in the kingdom of God we’re able to bank on another level, we’re able to sow a seed and receive thirty-sixty or a hundred fold return.

The kingdom of God is on a completely different level than this world’s system to live in it, we will have to live from the inside out not the outside in. We were never intended to live out of our spirit. The spirit is the part of us that will receive revelation of the kingdom. Look at Proverbs 20:27 is says, “ the spirit of man is he candle of the Lord, searching all the inwards parts of the belly.”
God guides us through our spirit, not our mind. Look at Psalms 18:28. Psalm 18:28 refers to the spirit as a candle saying for thou will light my candle, the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.

God’s revelation will bring light where there has been darkness in our lives. We were made to operate on a higher plane than just head knowledge. We were made to live by revelation in our heart, by the Lord lighting our candle (spirit) and enlightening our darkness (understanding). When we do, we can see what the world can’t see the kingdom of God. We won’t go the way of the world, we won’t be conformed to it because we are operating according to the spirit and not the flesh.


We need the Knowledge of
God

If we don’t have the knowledge of God, we cannot come out of the world’s system and into the kingdom reality. Look at (2 Peter 1:2-4)

The knowledge of God is revelation knowledge, it’s not natural knowledge, and its through this knowledge that we obtain the great and precious promises of God’s kingdom. Look at (Hosea 4:6) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. He didn’t say, my people are destroyed for lack of money or education, but they’re destroyed for lack of revelation knowledge. Real wealth doesn’t come by education; it comes by revelation. Thank God for education, but if that’s all we have we’re in trouble. An economic earthquake is coming and education won’t save us. If we want to make it through, we’ll need revelation of how to stand on the rock and how to receive our provision directly from almighty God.
This is why the k
ingdom of God must be preached the kingdom of God is God’s way of doing things, and it comes with provision through his kingdom . God has given us everything that we will ever need, independent of what happens in this world.

Sermon: We Have the Keys to the Kingdom
Jesus has given us the keys of the kingdom, now we take these keys and whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven, whatever we loose on earth is loosed in heaven. Look at Matt 16:19 As believers and children of God, we now have authority in His name to storm the gates of hell. We can speak things that be not as though they were, and all heaven backs us up. Look at Rom 4:17 Look at Mark 16:17,18 and Mark 11:23 in His name, we can cast out devils, in His name we can lay hands on the sick and they will recover. In His name, we can call resources in we can speak to a mountain and it will be removed. Jesus restored us to God and when we operate in the authority of the name of Jesus every resource in this earth becomes subject once again to the kingdom of God. Every place we set foot becomes Holy ground, and Satan and the disobedient who are following his influence are defeated. Jesus has legally restored us to our Father God and given us His authority, the authority of His name. Furthermore, as children of His kingdom all the riches of God and heaven are ours. However, we have to know how the kingdom of God works in order to access what he has given us.

Sermon: Adam and Eve Bowed to the Devil


God entrusted all of the earth’s resources to Adam and Eve. When he told them to subdue it, be fruitful and multiply. God and mankind worked together on the earth for awhile, and everything was super. But then they bowed their knee to Satan, their sin separated them from God and put them under the spiritual authority of Gods enemy. See Ephesians 2:1-6.


Everyone in the world was once in the category of disobedient people and under the control of demon spirits. However, by grace Jesus Christ has raised us up together and made us sit together in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Look at First John 5:19 it says and we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. Everyone in the world of God is under the deception of Satan, whom Rev 12:9 refers to him as that old serpent called the devil and Satan which deceived the whole world, Satan deceived all of us.

CHAOS IN THE USA

Chaos In A Major Christian Denomination Regarding Obama!
My name is Mel Sanger, an international political researcher. In February 2008 I and my group of 5 political research analysts were asked by a Major American Christian Church (can't name it for obvious reasons) to investigate whether Barack Obama had any involvement with the freemason new world order.
The Christian organization had received numerous calls and emails from its congregational members during 2007 and early 2008 asking whether Barack Obama was the Biblical Antichrist. It would seem that there were a number of teachers in the organization who were teaching this view which was conflicting with the organizations overall general major public support for Obama.
The confusion was causing major issues inside the church and they wanted a political research team without any ties to the organization or political biases to address the matter and report back on the findings. So we gladly accepted the task of tackling this subject.
I Was Put Off By the Typical Sensationalist Views At Every Election!
Up until then I had personally dismissed criticism of Barack Obama as simple attempts to discredit one of the most incredible political journeys not only in US history, but World History. Obama’s rise was on par with the release of Nelson Mandela and the Freedom speech of Martin Luther King decades ago.
I had been re-energized by his speeches and his story. I had read his biography "Dreams of My Father" and had personally bought 10 of his biographies for a local community, for them to loan out to deprived young people who needed proof that they could succeed against the odds.
My negativity to criticism on Obama (especially those saying he was the Antichrist) had largely been because of the shoddy sensationalist things written about him, especially on YouTube.
For instance, on YouTube there were many video's linking Barack Obama's name to 666. Others had provided pictures of Obama not saluting the American Flag. Under full research analysis, most, if not all of these accusations were simply poor primary evidence and shoddy outstretched research with absolutely no credibility.
5000 Hours of Painstaking Analysis!
Between March 2008 and September 2008 our research group examined over 4000 pieces of documentation regarding the coming New World Order and the key people involved, both those in the public spotlight and others who remain behind the scenes.
The purpose of the research was to see identify substantial links to Barack Obama or any of the key people associated with him, and to understand his political ideology, views on faith and morals and religious associations.
We studied more than 5000 hours worth of footage on all his speeches, looking out for views, comments or words which may carry coded or cryptic messages missed by the general public but discerned by others.
A New Sickening Discovery!
In June 2008 after assessing over 3000 pieces of documentation our research team uncovered some damning and frightening evidence that completely changed our view of him Totally.
The information was so startling that at first we refused to believe it but additional analysis of confidential documents made our fears come true and it was an undeniable fact. There was a sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach because I literally had to undo everything I had liked about this man in light of the chilling evidence.
In September 2008 we published the findings in a report called the Antichrist Identity. The title is slightly misleading as we do not believe that he is the biblical Antichrist. However there is iron clad research and evidence that confirms that he is a major pawn in the new world order and one of the most dangerous US presidents ever to hold office.

The report also implicates not only Barack Obama but also Javier Solana of the European Union, Prince Charles of Wales, Queen Beatrix of Netherlands and Prince Hassan of Jordan.
The report implicates a secret network of people who all know each others world roles and who are acting independently publicly, but are coercing a plan behind the public scene to use their powers of influence to take the world to a new level of world regulation.

Why Are The Christian Experts Asleep?

Question: "What is going to happen according to end times prophecy?"

Answer: The Bible has a lot to say about the end times. Nearly every book of the Bible contains prophecy regarding the end times. Taking all of these prophecies and organizing them can be difficult. Following is a very brief summary of what the Bible declares will happen in the end times.

Christ will remove all born-again believers who are part of the Church (New Testament saints) from the earth by an event known as the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51ff). These believers will be rewarded for good works and service during their time on earth at the Judgment Seat of Christ or will lose rewards, but not eternal life, for lack of service and obedience (1 Corinthians 3:11-15; 2 Corinthians 5:10).

The antichrist antichrist (beast) will come into power and sign a peace pact (covenant) with Israel for seven years (Daniel 9:27). This seven-year period of time is known as the Tribulation. During the tribulation, there will be terrible wars, famines, plagues, and natural disasters. God will be pouring out His wrath against sin, evil, and wickedness. The tribulation will include the appearance of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, and the seven seal, trumpet, and bowl judgments.

About halfway through the seven years, the antichrist will break the peace covenant with Israel and make war against them. The antichrist will perform the abomination of desolation and set up an image of himself to be worshipped in the temple (Daniel 9:27; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-10). The second half of the tribulation is known as “the great tribulation” (Revelation 7:14) and “the time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7).

At the end of the seven-year tribulation, the antichrist will launch a final attack on Jerusalem, culminating in the Battle of Armageddon. Jesus Christ will return, destroy the antichrist and his armies and cast them into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:11-21). Christ will then bind Satan in the Abyss for 1000 years and will rule His earthly kingdom for this thousand-year period (Revelation 20:1-6).

At the end of the thousand years, Satan is will be released, defeated again, and then cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:7-10). Christ then judges all unbelievers (Revelation 20:10-15) at the Great White Throne Judgment, casting them all into the lake of fire. Christ will then usher in a New Heaven and New Earth and the New Jerusalem—the eternal dwelling place of believers. There will be no more sin, sorrow, or death (Revelation chapters 21-22).

Last night, I addressed a joint session of Congress for the first time.

To confront the serious economic challenges our nation faces, I called for a new era of responsibility and cooperation. We need to look beyond short term political calculations and make vital investments in health care, energy, and education that will make America stronger and more prosperous well into the future.





A little more than a month into my administration, we've already taken bold steps to address our urgent economic problems.

Through the Recovery Act, the Stability Plan, and the Housing Plan, we're taking the immediate necessary measures to halt our economic downturn and provide much-needed assistance to working people and their families.

But to set our country on a new course of stability and prosperity, we must reject the old ways of doing business in Washington. We can no longer tolerate fiscal deficits and runaway spending while deferring the consequences to future generations.

That's why I pledged last night to cut our deficit in half by the end of my term. Achieving that goal will require making sacrifices and hard decisions, as well as an honest budgeting process that is straight with taxpayers about where their dollars are going.


Central to this plan will be a renewed commitment to honesty and transparency in government. Restoring our country's economic health will only happen when ordinary citizens are given the opportunity to hold their representatives fully accountable for the decisions they make.

The Breakdown of Society

When you see a culture thats deteriorating look closer and you will probably see a people of God who have withdrawn from the culture and turned it over to the unrighteous to rule. Consider: when Christians began abandoning inner-city and urban neighborhoos, taking their skills, resources, and moral influences with them those neighborhoods deteriorated.

When Christians left the public school system, moral values were systematically erased until they became almost illegal to teach. When Christians vacated the media, then a spiritual approach to defining everything we hold dear went with them. When Christians decided they ought to get out of politics then righteous political decisions left with them. These realities are magnified in minority communities one of the beauties of integration is that minorities won the right to live anywhere they want, but one downside has been that much of the expertise and moral consciousness of the minority community left the inner city leaving behind an absence of the models who are desperately needed to give a community vision and stability. God's people have been called to penetrate society. Don't get me wrong, evangelism is always first because without forgiveness of sins, anything else we give a person is temporary. We have been called first and foremost to win people to Christ. But having given a person Christ for eternity , we must also give him Christ in history. We must give him hope in time. The absence of righteousness in our culture has everything to do with the absence of God's people penetrating th culture. When there is no yeast the bread stays flat, and when there is no Christian influence the culture stays flat.
